Vincent P. Alessi

Principal

Vince Alessi has served the communities of Dania Beach, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Margate as an educator since 1989. His approach to learning is simple: hire the best staff, support their efforts, and motivate the students to see their individual talents and potential for excellence. He founded Ascend Career Academy Charter High School in 2015, growing the school from an original enrollment of 37 to today’s enrollment that stands at 220 students, and growing with each year of operation.



Adam Rhodes

Assistant Principal

Adam Rhodes has been a teacher and administrator in traditional and charter schools since 2008, serving students in both Palm Beach and Broward County. As AP at Ascend Academy, he works closely with students and teachers each day. He is also responsible for the school’s state of the art technology; he developed and maintains the school’s 1:1 student laptop program, its partnership with Google’s Apps for Education, fiber optic wifi network and security camera surveillance and facial recognition systems.


